United Football League started its training camp in Casa Grande and local businesses are already seeing the benefits.
"It's such a wonderful showcase for us," said David Bridger with the City of Casa Grande.
The spotlight is on the city and the new training facility west of town.
"The facility is looking wonderful and the teams moved in this weekend and they were delighted with what they found," Bridger said.
Just one day into practice and the town can already see an impact.
"We've already seen a lot of people booking weekends hoping to get to see some of the practice sessions for free and making long weekends of everything," said Bridger.
More visitors mean more money for businesses.
"It could add 2 plus million to the coffers of the city and were delighted with that," said Bridger.
Money that goes to restaurants like Eva's, just down the street from the facility.
"We are looking at 25 to 30 percent increase over last year in business alone from the facility," said owner Fernando Cornejo.
Besides the extra dollars, the town gets recognition.
"I think it's going to be wonderful. The spotlight will be on us on a national level," Bridger said.
"We couldn't ask for a better facility to come to town," said Conejo. "A lot of people are coming, spending their dollars here in town, giving back to the community. And helping this town out is probably the most important thing."
And that will be a big help with the current economy.
