This is Taylor's mom. To Sortit and Blissful... All you 2 are focused on is lawsuits and who's blaming who. It's idiots like you that sit & judge and think you are perfect. All 3 were wearing helmets and they WERE straped on. The SEVERE impact is what caused her helmet to come off, nothing more nothing less. This was an accident and there is no blame!!! Let me tell you that my daughter paid the ultimate price for this ride - her life. Taylor was a very experienced rider as were the 2 boys. Not only did she have her own quad she also owned 2 dirt bikes. SHE LOVED TO RIDE!!!!! Unless you have seen the investigation report OR felt the tragic loss of my daughter tear at your heart for the last 11 days you have no right to just assume anything. Everyone that ever was touched by Taylor is suffering. I hope with all of my heart that none of you ever have to lay a child to rest but if some unforeseen tragedy ever happens in your life I hope that you look back at these comments and feel bad for your lack of compassion. There is no blame to be directed at these boys. This was an accident that has greatly changed many people's lives. All that matters in this is that Taylor is in a better place and all of us, including the 2 boys, are trying to find the strength minute by minute to go on. Taylor left us way to early but she died doing something she loved & she was with 2 boys that she loved with all of her heart, Richard - her boyfriend, and Alex - her best friend. Richard left the scene by air vac (now doing well thanks for your concern) and Alex stayed by her side until the end. As a mother, I could not have picked any other people to be with her in the last moments. Taylor lived a full and joyful life and will be with me always. She is right were she is supposed to be. Baby girl -I love you with all my heart and you will never be forgotten. Love, Mom.

bcparent~ Apparently many people misinterpret the word accepting responsiblity. The word closer to it would be integrity by having a sense of what you are doing. Firsthand. That is not blaming.

dillonbevin I just wanted to let you know that there are more people on your side than you know. Unfortunately, blissful seems to be the type of person that must have something/someone to blame for things that happen. Sometimes, and very sadly as the majority of us all know accidents do happen. I could jump in here and defend you dillionbevin but you've already handled this. You sound like a fine young man and very intelligent as you took the high road here.

If they checked once doesnt mean it was a thorough maintenance check for if it was this wouldnt have happend, and if there was some malfunction wouldnt they have caught it if they checked closely?Mechanics/tools/weapons/ect are only as smart as the one operating it. Hammer, screw driver wil work if you use it properly it doesnt have a mind of its own.Really think about it. Again no such thing as an accident. There is a reason for EVERYTHING for if there wasnt why do anything? ^___^

If the transforner blew up its because someone didnt make regular maintence checks... so again there is no such thing as an accident. If a person runs a red light and crashes into another car again no accident because the person CHOSE to run a red light and were not being responsible. Even when people jay walk and get hit by a car this is no accident because they chose to walk into a street knowing they could get hit. The list goes on because the bottom line is everything is choice and when we do something wrong we must take responsibiity and not hide being the word accident. Thats the easy way out. Have you heard about learning from your wrong choices?When we know we chose whats not right then be responsible enough to admit it and dont do it again. Just be aware of everything you do, and I mean everything for we can not afford to be careless. ^__^
