If a critic were to call the work of Arizona lawmakers a failure, it might be hard to argue with it.

I fixed my grammar mistakes, sorry...I guess I should have proofread it! I know that the budget is on everyones mind and that the Arizona governor is a goof, but I just need to say this...I was coming in to work this morning and carpooling between 6-6:30 and ironically, I'm going no faster than 70 MPH because there is a government official vehicle in front of me with only 1 person in it, then behind me there is a monstrous SWAT truck behind me with only the driver in it and THEN, to my right, (remember that I'm in the carpool lane) there is an idiot kid driving with his window down taking pictures with his camera phone. I really hope that he got a picture of the can and the SWAT truck and turned it in the ADOT. I want to contact ADOT but I also want Arizona to know that even though the budget is in crisis, so is the moral of our government officials and state workers. Just because you are in a car that you don't own, doesn't mean that you don't have to follow the rules too. It made me so mad when all this was happening and well, frankly, it still does.

Can I change the subject just a little bit. I know that the budget is on everyones mind and that the Arizona governor is a goof, but I just need to say this...I was coming in to work this morning and carpooling between 6-6:30 and ironically, I'm going no faster than 70 MPH because there is a government offical vehical in front of me with only 1 person in it, then behind me there is a monsterous SWAT truck behind me with only the driver in it and THEN, to my right, (remember that I'm in the carpool lane) there is an idiot kid driving with his window down taking pictures with his camera phone. I really hope that he got a picture of the can and the SWAT truck and turned it in the ADOT. I want to contact ADOT but I also want Arizona to know that even though the budget is in crisis, so is the moral of our government officials and state workers. The saddest part of all of this, these same people will be re-elected back into office. As to their $24K annual salary, its $23K too much considering what we have received from this group! This state is going the way of California with the politicans acting the same way. DOES ANYONE is this state demand more from our legislators or are you all sheep?

You know I came from Oklahoma to here to take a job at one of the copper mines and 8 months later got layed off. Since being out here, I have been thoroughly disappointed with my dealings with the government in this state. I regret having left Oklahoma. I know I would have been paid more on unemployment in OK and having had to apply for food stamps because of making a very low amount on unemployment & never having received the $25 raise from the stimulus program, my big food stamp award was $16/mon. In OK I would have had a minimum $150 food stamp allotment. As soon as I make enough money to move back to OK, I will go, good bye good riddens AZ, it's been a great disappointment. At least I knew the name of my Mayor in Tulsa, OK, she was extremely involved with getting companies to come there & stay there to keep her people working. By the way, what is the name of the Mayor for Phoenix, do they actually work for us or are they sitting in an office just collecting a paycheck? I have never seen such an uninvolved government in all my life. Why don't we fire them & get new ones. Oh, in Tulsa my employment never layed off anybody, my bad for moving out here.

Answer me one question, the $25 stimulus raise on unemployment. Where did this money go? Did our lawmakers pocket it? We never got it. How can we file theft charges against the state for taking the unemployed's money.

Remember the ballot referendum asking us to increase our legislatures' pay? And all those people saying, "They only make $24K - they need an increase"? Where are those people now?????
