According to something I saw on NPR's website, it's National Man Day. Here's what they wrote up about it:
Two brothers from Indiana declared Monday to be "National Man Day." They say that on Man Day, participants should play football, go hunting or watch Rocky movies. And a quarter of a million people pledged to "stand up and do manly things." Organizers didn't realize Monday is also "Sneak a Kiss Day," when sweethearts are supposed to be a little romantic.
Ok, guys. I get that you need to be men. So, here's the zinger (and this is probably a typical womanly comment, because as you say... we're never satisfied) why just one day?
Why not be men all year? Wouldn't it be more manly to be a man everyday than to settle on just 24 hours to celebrate the fact that you don't have to wear heels, make-up, or *gulp* go through childbirth?
Just a thought. Now, when's National Women Day? I need some time at the spa.
