The whole Carrie Prejean story has really got me thinking.
Actually, Donald Trump's comment about (not verbatim) her being beautiful is the reason people are picking on her. I know, it's not the direct quote... I'm kind of doing this from memory.
Either way, the wheels started spinning and I got to thinking: why are people really attacking her? Because she gave an honest (albeit politically incorrect) answer to a question during a nationally televised event? Are they attacking her because of some racy photos? Or, is the beastly media just blowing up another story that not very many people would bat an eye at, because really, who has time anymore to care that much?
It's kind of a beauty and the beast thing. Here's a beautiful young woman thrown to the beast of public opinion... and boy, does that beast ever have an appetite.
