The full-size rear-wheel-drive American sedan was all but dead four years ago, and then Chrysler re-invented it.
You've probably seen it around town in its muscle car guise as the Hemi-powered Chrysler 300C...but there's also a six-cylinder version.
The Hemi 300C can top $45,000 in no time. And, no surprise: It doesn't get great gas mileage.
But the same room and aggressive styling are available in the 300 Touring, at a base price of $29,685.
It's powered by a V6 instead of a V8, and the fuel economy is a lot more livable. The EPA says 17 city/25 highway.
And while it doesn't shred your tires, the six makes the 300 move quite nicely.
Inside, tons of room, comfortable seats and available options that include the MyGig entertainment system with navigation and a power sunroof.
Even with the options, the 300 Touring we drove stayed well under 40 grand...at $35,940.
