You’ve done it before…you know it.
You go on a diet, and then you splurge on chocolate cake or carbs and then say you will never do it again.
Then you get back on the diet wagon.
Arizona’s Aji Spa, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort invites guests to join them on Saturday, November 7 for a free, relaxing and informational afternoon with award-wining author, Michelle May, M.D., who wrote
Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat: How to Break Your Eat-Repent-Repeat Cycle. This special event was designed specifically for Aji Spa guests to have personal interaction with Dr. Michelle May and to offer inspiring new health concepts.
This free event will include:• 1:00- 2:00 p.m. In the Aji Spa lobby Dr. May will be signing her book and offering them at a special one-day event price of $19.95 (regularly $24.95).
• 2:00-3:00 p.m. – There is an informative Q:A session with Dr. May, complete with several complimentary and delectable samplings form the Aji Café, including: Fresh Fruit Smoothie Shots, Aj's Signature Pasilla Flat Bread Pizza with Achiote Chicken, Grilled Portabello Mushroom Wrap and a Crab and Watermelon Salad.
Many of us diet to shed pounds and find ourselves trapped in a never ending cycle—we deprive ourselves, give in to our cravings, feel guilty, and return to bad habits.
In her new book, Dr. May reveals an alternative to yo-yo dieting that does not require counting points, or eating pre-packaged meals.
Instead, Dr. May tells her readers to eat fearlessly, using their natural cues of hunger to guide them.
Working with her husband, Aji Spa Café’s head chef, Owen May, the duo worked to include several delicious and healthful recipes in the book.
Dr. May, prides herself on sharing tips that teach individuals to take charge of their lives and learn to resolve mindless and emotional eating.
In an effort to share her insight, gained from years of research, Dr. May will host a question and answer forum to educate guests on how to:
• Stop obsessing about food and start loving it
• Resolve mindless and emotional eating
• Rediscover when, what, and how much to eat without restrictive rules
• Learn the truth about nutrition in clear and practical terms
• Stop using exercise as punishment for eating
• Experience the pleasure of eating the foods you love—without guilt or bingeing
• Develop powerful patterns of thinking to live the balanced, vibrant life you desire
