Brandon Rycombel, Director of Direct Sales says that is how
"Drank" came to be.
"Drank" is being billed as the anti-energy drink, to help you relax and soothe out the day.
The key ingredients in the grape-flavored drink are melatonin, valerian root and rose hip.
Those are all herbs used to help in relaxation and trouble sleeping.
The concept of the "relaxation beverage," has led some people to refer to the drink as "weed in a can."
Aaron Treptow has tried both -- "Drank" and pot -- and he says that the comparison is not justified.
"Smoking pot kind of, well extremely alters your mind and the way you act, and this drink really doesn't do anything like that at all," said Treptow.
In a news release, the C.E.O. of Innovative Beverage Group, who produces "Drank," said, "As far as the ingredients, melatonin, valerian root and rose hips, like salt and sugar, are regarded by the FDA as 'GRAS' substances - 'generally regarded as safe.' Drank has sold millions of units, with no reports of any adverse effects."
