Even if you follow a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and avoid cigarette smoke, chances are you probably still feel the effects of a toxic, unhealthy environment.

Every day we are exposed to substances that make our bodies work harder, causing us to feel more sluggish than necessary and possibly setting us up for serious illnesses.

From hair spray and lawn fertilizer to hormones and preservatives, we inhale, ingest and absorb toxic chemicals every day.

You might also be poisoning yourself from the inside out, in a process called auto-intoxication.

Things like stress, caffeine and antibiotics can cause the wrong types of microflora to build up in your digestive tract. These 'bad bacteria' are known to dump dangerous neurotoxins into your bloodstream.

In fact, medical researchers now believe that auto-intoxication due to antibiotics may lead to some forms of breast cancer.

Here's the good news: A well-managed cleanse removes many of the obstacles to health and the feeling of wellness.

When my patients comment on how great they feel after cleansing, I tell them, "This is what it feels like to be normal." It is simply not normal to feel tired and sluggish all the time!

Cleansing (also called detoxifying) your body doesn't have to be overwhelmingly difficult.

It's simply a matter of reducing the amount of toxins you are allowing into your body and getting rid of substances that have already built up in your system.

Our bodies won't detoxify anything new until they get rid of the toxins already on board, including those stored in fats surrounding your vital organs.

A whole body cleanse helps re-set and re-fortify the body's natural cleansing process.
