You can watch all you want doesn't mean they can find who owns what bags by looking at a tv screen! They should be checking bags and maching the tickets!

Hey folks, if the existing security systems were adequat (police watching , cameras, Skycaps - all watching) then this would not have happened. What would be suspecious about someone walking up and taking a bag off of a baggage carosel??? If the airlines cannot or willnot foot the bill of "Positive Baggage Checks" then the City of Phoenix needs to step up. This is a public facility owned and run by the City of Phoenix. THis is a public safety and protection issue. This is also an airport responsibility to protect people from crime while at the airport (and most other places). WHat to decrease tourism in the Phoenix area - have people continually show up only to find their checked bags stolen. Start checking baggage check stubs and MATCH THEM TO THE BAGS ...and DO IT NOW!

I recall standing on line for baggage ticket checking, so how did these two monsters get away with it for so long? No one noticed they were always there? I had a suitcase stolen a few yrs ago coming back from LA to Sky Harbor.......wonder if they did it....hmmm.

Suggestion: place a few imitation Gucci "decoy" bags on the baggage carousel. When the bags leave the perimeter of the baggage area - they are electronically triggered to spray dye and set off an internal alarm! WHAM, BAM, Book-em Dano!!
