GILBERT, AZ --
Gilbert Dogs 24/7, a doggy daycare and training facility, has launched two holiday campaigns to help as many animals as they can.
First, they are collecting dog and cat food to be donated to
"Friends for Life Animal Shelter" and
"Project Humane."Gilbert Dogs is giving away a half day of daycare in exchange for a 10-pound food donation, and a full day of daycare for a 20-pound food donation.
The food drive goes through January 3rd.
Gilbert Dogs also put up their "Howl-i-day tree" on Thursday, featuring pictures of all the pets up for adoption at the Friends for Life Shelter.
Along with the picture is a wish that you can grant for that pet.
The wishes range from a toy to play with to medical needs the animal may have.
"It's an easy way to help, they can donate money, they can donate a tennis ball, and that makes a huge difference for a labrador who is living in a kennel," said Stefanie Strackbein, a dog behaviorist at Gilbert Dogs 24/7.
The price range for these wishes is as low as 50 cents and can go up to about $350.
You can either purchase the item on the wish or just donate the cash value.
