ABC's Supernanny is in the Valley this weekend, working with a Mesa family for an episode that will air next season.

"I do like it here," said Jo Frost, the Supernanny, who explained that she's worked in Tucson and Phoenix for the show.

"I'd rather be in too much heat than too much cold," she said.

While the show's producers would not reveal the names of the family members with whom she is meeting, Frost said the episode involves a young parent who has two boys and a pair of grandparents who also provide care for the children.

"A very familiar situation in America where a lot of grandparents now are co-caring [for] their grandchildren," she said.

"I do believe this show will be vital to a lot of those families who are in that co-caring situation," Frost said.

"An amazing amount of good things are going to be coming out with this family, and it's all about connecting and interacting and in a very positive way, making those changes and just really getting off the sofa and doing something about it," she added.

On the ABC website, Frost recorded a message for her fans.

"We can expect to see some serious, compelling stories," she said in the web video.

"I'm going to be dealing this year with death and divorce and giving parental advice on babies, how we communicate more effectively with teenagers," she added.

She also said a celebrity family is planned for this season.

The series premieres October 16.
