Just in time for holiday shoppers, Toys R Us will open FAO Schwarz boutiques in 585 of its stores nationwide beginning November 1.

The boutiques will feature overhead signs, as well as life-size displays of the famous FAO Schwarz toy soldier, which stands outside its two current stores in New York and Las Vegas.

FAO Schwarz is best known for its Manhattan store, featured in the movie “Big” starring Tom Hanks, in which he dances on a floor piano. Gift-givers can even take home a replica of the famous piano.

Toys will range from $2.99 to $64.99, including the FAO Schwarz Signature Holiday Ornament and 2009 Collectible Bear. Timeless childhood favorites like a Jack-in-the-Box and Humming Top are also available.

The famous toy store will also offer high-end toys such as the Steiff Karl Lagerfeld Teddy Bear for $1,499.99 and the Steiff Niki Riding Pony for $549.99.

Toys R Us has also re-launched FAO.com and will continue to publish the FAO Schwarz holiday catalog, and will be sent out beginning November 10.
