6. Wrap the ribbon around the strap of the flip flop
7. Cut off the excess ribbon
8. Repeat the step allowing a second place to adhere the bow
(the bow will be attached to this, rather than directly on the strap)
9. Apply hot glue to the back of the buckle and attach the end of the ribbon to it. Try to overlap the ribbon to create a “gathered” look.
10. Repeat step for the other side of the ribbon
11. Attach the completed bow to the ribbon attached to the strap of the shoe
12. Arrange the bow to the desired look
13. Repeat the step for the second shoe
14. Slip on and wait for compliments!
Knot flip flops are easy and inexpensive to make and can be created for shoes of any size.
How to make knot flip flops
Knot Flip Flop

Tie bows on the back of crock or tie strips of ribbon to the straps of flip flops to add a pop of color and and a punch of style this summer.  There's no need to be a "crafty" person.  If you can tie a knot or bow and have a pair of scissors you can do this!  Consider this for summer gifts for people visiting or your kids' summer pool parties!

Tip:  The largest supply of ribbon in the entire state at great prices is at Ribbons and Lace.  They are a local business that has been around for more than 20 years and have store in Chandler and Mesa.
