Create a unique gift with beeswax

Decorate your home or make a special gift for someone with this easy to make and learn process of melting beeswax to make multiple layers of embellishments become a work of art!

Using a blank canvas paint a light color (ivory or white) to prepare your canvas. Let dry. Then, using rubber stamping inks and a makeup sponge, dab the sponge in the inkpad to pick up some color, start soft and then dab as much ink as needed to get the desired color. Put a little more color on the outside edges to finish the piece and complete the "framed" look of your canvas.

When you have your desired background color, you can then stamp your background image on the canvas. The image does not need to be exact, as this is just the background. We used a French Writing rubber stamp in segment, stamped with Chocolate Brown ink.  Wait a few minutes for ink to dry.

Then you can place the copied image (crown sticker) on the canvas. Image is made from crown image being copied on to clear sticker paper (Staples). Peel backing from crown sticker and place down on canvas. Burnish all air bubbles from the sticker. Making sure there is no air underneath image.

Place your beeswax pellets on the canvas sparingly. A little bit goes a long way. You can add more as you need. Turn on your quilt iron and once it is hot, place over beeswax pellets and lightly push down to melt the wax. Repeat process until entire canvas is covered. Once wax has cooled (2-3min) you can add the Swarovski crystals with Aleene's Tacky Glue. Place a small dot of glue on crown image where a jewel would be on the crown and apply crystal. Wait a few minutes for the glue to dry and your artwork is done.
