SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Pei Wei Asian Diner announced the restaurant’s first new menu item of 2010 with the introduction of Caramel Chicken.

Prepared in Pei Wei’s trademark wok style, the new dish offers a unique taste of Vietnam that highlights the subtle sweetness of caramel with a hint of chile and fresh pineapple.
The dish is topped with a fresh Asian slaw of cucumber, red bell pepper, carrots, red onion and Fresno chile peppers marinated in black pepper Asian vinaigrette.
“This dish is designed to give our guests their first taste of traditional Vietnamese flavors,” said Chef Eric Justice, Director of Culinary Operations for Pei Wei Asian Diner. “Many of our guests enjoy exploring foreign countries and culture through cuisine, and we’re thrilled to add a new culinary experience to our menu.”
