Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas aims to provide customers with the highest quality food products that sustain the environment, and Lake Powell’s Executive Chef Brandon is committed to providing guests with healthier “sustainable cuisine,” foods grown and harvested in ways that are least harmful to the environment.
How does Chef Brandon do that? He uses organic, heirloom fruits and vegetables grown locally whenever possible, eliminates the use of trans-fats and incorporates dairy products that are free of added bovine growth hormones.
The Lake Powell Resort’s Rainbow Room serves seafood chosen from Monterey Bay’s “best choice” National Seafood Guide, as well as Hearst Ranch grass-fed beef.
Other menu highlights also include local farm-raised trout, organic spring greens and locally harvested mushrooms. Dishes are then paired with different wines.
In addition to the famed Rainbow Room, vacationers have the opportunity to pre-order the meals for their houseboating trip with the Meals on Board program or have a personal chef aboard to cater their trip with the Chef on Board program.
