Strawberry Basil Napoleon dessertStrawberry Coulis:
1 cup clear sugar glaze
1 cup Strawberry Puree
1/2 tsp. Strawberry compound
1/2 tsp. Balsamic vinegar
*** Mix together well and set aside
Filo Florentine:
3 Filo squares (about 5in. x 5 in.)
Melted butter (for brushing)
*** Brush Filo squares with melted butter, bake about 5 minutes or until golden in color
Crystal Basil:
1 egg white
1/2 cup sugar
*** Mix egg white and sugar together. Dip basil leaf and place in freezer until crystallized coating is frozen and flaky.
Strawberry Napoleon:
*** Layer Strawberry Coulis in between 3 Filo sheets. Top with dollop of Creme Fraiche Gelato (can also use vanilla ice cream if you prefer), and crystallized basil leaf. Enjoy!!
