Yum! 4 'slimming' smoothie recipes to try

Looking to shed a few pounds this summer? Maybe you're just trying to eat healthier.

Whatever the reason, add any of these four summer slimming smoothie recipes from Maya Nahra, RD, with Sunflower Farmers Market into your diet plan!

The Orange Creamsicle Smoothie
1 medium orange, peeled
1/2 medium banana or 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
2 T ground flaxseeds
1 cups ice
1/8 cup honey or agave nectar
3/4 cup almond milk

Directions:
Blend and drink! (It's that simple!)

The Kitchen Sink Smoothie
1/2 cup fat free Greek yogurt
1 kiwi, peeled and cut into chunks
1/2 cup red grapes
1 medium seedless oranges, peeled and white bits removed
3/4 cup ice

Blend and drink!

The Afternoon Pick-Me-Up Smoothie
1 cup chocolate almond or soymilk, chilled
1/2 banana
1/2 cup blueberries, frozen
1 tablespoon dark chocolate cocoa powder
1 T honey or agave nectar

Blend and drink!

Melon Madness Smoothie
2 cups of honeydew melon (seeded and chopped)
1 cup yogurt
1 cup almond milk
¼ cup honey
ice cubes

Blend and drink!
