USER QUESTION:
Do you think the market is close to bottoming out? If not, what are the signs we can look for if we want to buy stock to hold for at least ten years?

EXPERT ANSWER:
If you are looking to hold stocks for at least ten years, it really should not matter whether we are at or near the bottom. The key is that we probably are not at the top! If you just can’t decide whether to invest all at one time, use dollar cost averaging and invest a set amount each month for the next few months.
