PHOENIX – Ever need an item from a website, but the shipping time was just not fast enough?
On Thursday, Amazon.com launched a new shipping feature which will allow customers to order their item within certain cutoff dates and receive it the same day.
The cost to use the service however is not cheap.
It will cost anywhere from $14 to $20 in addition to the actual cost of the item and charges for each pound of item weight.
The shipping cost is reduced to about $5.99 per an item only if a customer is an Amazon Prime member, which is about $79 a year for membership.
The service is currently only available in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Las Vegas, Washington D.C. and Seattle, but Phoenix, Chicago, and Indianapolis are scheduled to receive the service in the near future.
Would you pay this much to get your item within a few hours of ordering it? Or would you rather wait out a longer time period and pay less?
