Valley shoppers are lining up at Payless ShoeSource Stores after Oprah Winfrey announced a coupon for 50 percent off everything in the store.
The manager at the Desert Ridge Marketplace store said there was a line outside the store before it opened this morning. The manager said a lot of shoppers are new customers she's never seen.
The 2-day sale ends Friday.
Shoppers can
print a coupon or send text message to receive the discount via their cell phone.
The sale includes all footwear and accessories.
A corporate spokesperson said Payless was the second highest word searched on Google yesterday as a result of the Oprah promotion.
