PHOENIX -- These days just about everybody could stand to save a buck or two.
Several websites claim to do just that, save you money.
SkyAuction offers everything from hotel and resort stays to cruises to restaurant gift certificates.
It essentially works like any other auction site. The highest bid wins, and often that bid ends up well below retail price.
"I like the concept a lot because everyone is looking for discounts and deals, bargain shopping, I know I am," said Sung Paik.

LuxuryLink.com also offers vacation auctions.
For example, a 4-night stay at the Inn at Eagle Mountain in Scottsdale usually retails for more than $1,000 dollars.
On LuxuryLink, you can get it for just $399.
"Everyone likes things that are half off, more than half off," said Georgianna Uhatafe of Laveen.
It's not just here in the Valley, you'll find deals around the world on these sites from the Caribbean to Europe to the South Pacific.
On some of these auctions, however, you'll want to read the fine print.
Some are only available on certain dates, while others have processing or booking fees.
