PHOENIX - New federal data released Friday attributes 12,283 Arizona jobs to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act passed by Congress and signed by President Obama earlier this year.
Numbers on jobs created or saved due to stimulus funds are reported by each state to the Recovery Accountability and Transparency (RAT) Board.
According to RAT Board and the Arizona Office of Economic Recovery, $2,841,731,609 in federal stimulus money has been made available in Arizona.
Of these available funds, $815,761,221 has been paid out.
That works out to cost $66,413.84 in federal stimulus money per job created or saved in Arizona.
The numbers, along with details on specific stimulus projects, are posted on the federal website
Recovery.gov.
