The $55k income is for a single person, the income goies up as the family grows. And there is a little more required to even get you in the door (so to speak). I just went through the city's program as a single mom, my new "mortgage" will be half of my rent payment and it will be mine after i pay off the mortgage. It will work.

What a surprise, no takers to speak of. This $$ is only available to people who are in low income bracket. ~$50K. Yeah those who should not be buying any homes at all. This is what got us into this mess in the first place lending to low income people who can not afford house payments. Our politicians have let us down again with this ill conceieved plan. Those who could do well by this make too much money. Believe me $55K is not a lot in todays world.
