This program was generated by Congress, Not President Obama which has done more that GW Bush did in 8 years, and has juggled more than one thing at a time, which Bush could not do, even with Cheney helping (?)! I am still waiting for Congress to do what they are supposed to do, help this country with laws that are fair for all, and to date have only seen what is best for them! The biggest jokes are Shadegg, Flake, Kyl and McCain who only know one thing NO and send me more money from the lobbiest!

At least 3/4 of these vehicles would have been sold anyway. The increased sales is minimal at a huge cost to the tax payer, yet again.

Yeah till they get repoed cause the owners cant make the payments. Pay cash live in your means. I bought two Motorcycles and an a SUV for the family since Sept Paid cash and I am unemployed. No Debt to speak of. By the way new job starts the 11th.

I've always had a problem with Cash4Clunkers. To me it seems to go against simple supply and demand economics. How can we push all of these new cars into a market already saturated with used and repossessed vehicles (see www.repofinder.com)? Now new cars are worth even less, we have more Amerians in debt, and eventually more repossessions.

It’s a shame when reporters can’t be bothered to research information for an article they do. I wish I knew the sites to list for evidence, but earlier this week, a study released indicated the biggest automobiles purchased were… more trucks, that get only ‘slightly’ better gas mileage. And the money spent on new cars for the program fails to mention just how much would have been spent without the program… Yes, it did boost sales, but not by the numbers people want to post. A vast majority of people who used the program, would have bought a new car anyway. And while the program helped boost one segment of the economy, it destroyed another… the aftermarket rebuilders lost massive amounts of resources that would normally be repaired and re-introduced into the market… the cars were NOT allowed to be stripped for the salvageable, rebuildable parts. When the costs of replacement parts for your cars repairs start to skyrocket… thank the Cash for Clunkers program!

America = FAIL. F**k you obama.

HUGE obama waste plan. The border fence / deprtation, would be cheaper, and put millions of Americans back to work. In the end making the country stronger. Socialism is a joke

Give rewards to people who destroys, pollutes, and consumes large amounts of money so they can drive more. Meanwhile transit is on its third reduction and 2nd fare hike.
