Rock icon Bruce Springsteen will lay bare his life in the limelight by opening up his personal journals for fans in a new book.

The Born in the U.S.A. hitmaker, 60, has kept diaries throughout his stellar career and he's using his old entries as the basis for his autobiography.

And The Boss is likely to cash in big time on his tome, with publishers expected to start a bidding war which could reach as much as $10 million.

A publishing industry source tells the New York Post, "It could be the biggest rock music autobiography of all time. He could get $9 million to $10 million for the world rights."
