I agree with honeydew. Bringing your own food & drinks makes the zoo an affordable option for entertainment. I've been to the zoo in the middle of summer. If you stay in the shade as much as possible, bring water & wear sunscreen, you would probably be just fine.

Lorida, first of all, you don't make much sense, second, if you even read the article, these activities are in the fall, third, the food prices are not that expensive but if you had any sense (which, clearly, you don't) you would have taken your own lunch.

Nice very to plan a trip to the zoo in the middle of a sweltering heat wave daring a stroke and feeling it raise to 120 degrees!!!! walking around dragging grandma and pa, sunburnt oh well, couldnt afford the $10 drinks and $15 hotdogs, $13 chips. the smell from animal furs and screaming monkeys is so much fun.
