Pink is popping up everywhere these days, from grocery stores, even on NFL uniforms.
And now KN Karen Neuburger® lifestyle brand and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) are partnering this fall and inviting shoppers to participate in the “Time for Research” program.
During the month of October 2009, KN will host “Pink Parties” at over 300 Dillards store locations where guests will get the chance to shop for a cause.
For each purchase of KN Karen Neuburger pajamas during the “Pink Parties,” KN will donate 30 minutes of research to BCRF.
Shoppers will also receive a free gift with purchase of a pink ribbon key chain.
The goal is to sponsor a month of breast cancer research to aid in the development of lifesaving treatments and an eventual cure for breast cancer.
In addition, to help KN reach the goal of sponsoring a month of research, donations will also be accepted through their
Time for Research page.
To better understand the importance of each and every minute of research, consider the following; in one hour of research a breast cancer biopsy can be performed.
In one day, a clinician can conduct genetic counseling for one woman.
In one week, researchers can compare ten tumor samples.
