PHOENIX – Film buffs rejoice! A New
IMAX theater is set to open at the AMC Desert Ridge 18 in just a matter of days.
The new theater will be open for business on December 18, and the first film that will be shown is the hotly anticipated "Avatar: An IMAX 3D Experience."
It has been digitally re-mastered into IMAX's format exclusively for presentation in the IMAX auditorium.
Other movies set to be released in IMAX's format include:
