New Fall Theater schedules at Arizona Science Center

First science center in the world to showcase a state-of-the-art NanoSeam dome! With this cutting-edge technology, visitors will be fully immersed in the imagery of the galaxy; transported on animated journeys through cells, Earth, space and time, as well as the astronomical marvels of our beautiful Arizona night skies.

PHOENIX - Looking for something fun to do? Consider checking out the new fall schedule of events at the Arizona Science Center.

The schedules includes Imax movies and a new Dorrance Planetarium experience.

The theater schedules are as follows:



Dorrance Planetarium

PRICING:
Members - $6 for adults, $5 for youth & seniors
Non-Members - $8 for adults, $7 for youth & seniors

Starry Storytime:
Daily at 11 a.m.
Our youngest visitors will enjoy this opportunity to find things in the sky while hearing stories about the stars and visiting planets along with way.

Arizona Skies:
Daily at 11:45 a.m.
Come hear stories about the different constellations up this time of year, and discover the current night sky. This show concludes with a spin through the cosmos.

Grand Tour of the Planets:
Daily at 12:45 p.m.
Voyage through our spectacular Solar System and visit each planet, comparing and contrasting their features. Visitors will gain a better understanding of the Earth’s unique place in our Solar System. Sponsored by APS.

Stars of the Pharaohs:
Daily at 1:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.
Learn how the ancient Egyptians used the stars and various astronomical phenomena to tell time, make a workable calendar and more. Explore the science behind some of the most spectacular temple's and tombs of the ancient world. Supported by the Dorrance Family Foundation.

Cosmic Coasters: ALL NEW!
Daily at 2:30 p.m.
Our youngest visitors will enjoy this opportunity to find things in the sky while hearing stories about the stars and visiting planets along with way.


Imax Theater

PRICING:

Sharks 3D:
Daily at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.
Presented by Jean-Michel Cousteau, experience an up-close underwater encounter with shark species – including the Great White, Hammerhead and Whale Shark. Discover the beauty of myriad shark species in their natural environment and learn how these fascinating animals are essential to the survival of our oceans.

Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa
Daily at 12 p.m. & 2 p.m.
Journey up Africa’s highest mountain. Through the eyes of trekkers and a local African guide, learn of the hardships and rewards of climbing this great mountain and explore the delicate ecosystems and natural history that can exist there.

Amazing Journeys
Daily at 4 p.m.
Follow the incredible migratory journeys of butterflies, birds, whales, crabs and zebras. This epic tale captures the magnificent beauty, stamina and perseverance of these amazing creatures and their journey to ensure the survival of the next generation.
