Cancer diagnosis may be one of the most difficult things people face during their lifetime, and the
Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale has a program to help people cope with cancer and the issues surrounding it.
“I Can Cope” is a program developed by the
American Cancer Society presented in partnership with
Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. It provides education about cancer, treatment and coping skills for people with cancer and loved ones.
The free program, offered by non-profit
Banner Thunderbird, is every 4th Monday of the month at the
Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. The final session will be Monday, Nov. 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Conference Room 5.
If you are unable to attend a session at
Banner Thunderbird, classes are also available
online. Take a self-paced session free of charge from the privacy of your own home.
The knowledge and support gained from the sessions aim to help reduce the fear and anxiety that is often associated with cancer diagnosis.
