One of the Valley’s favorite places to enjoy a cocktail after work is launching a new menu.
Scottsdale-based
RA Sushi Bar Restaurant today launched new lunch, dinner, sushi and beverage menus, adding a variety of innovative dishes and cocktails to the current selection.
RA also added several new categories to the menu, and a “Guest Faves” icon to help customers navigate their options.
“While we have kept our guests’ favorite dishes on the menu, we have made room for some exciting new creations,” said RA Sushi Executive Chef Tai Obata. “We’ve fused traditional Japanese cuisine with concepts from other regions, integrating some Latin influences and adding an entirely new tapas selection.”
Getting Started:
Grilled Short Ribs: marinated and grilled Kalbi beef short ribs basted in a sweet and tangy yakiniku sauce, served with wasabi mashed potatoes ($7)
Kaisen Ceviche: Japanese-style ceviche with cooked shrimp, scallops and squid, chilled and mixed with fresh tomato, avocado and salsa, served in a spring roll shell ($9)
Entrée Selections:
Pork Katsu: breaded pork served on wasabi mashed potatoes with coleslaw and an Asian barbecue dipping sauce ($12.75).
What’s New Section:
“RA”llipop: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy tuna mix, lettuce, asparagus and cucumber, wrapped in lobok [Asian radish] and served skewered with a garlic ponzu sauce ($14)
Hot Mess: crispy rice balls topped with a spicy king crab mix, baked and finished with jalapeño and cilantro ($13)
Spicy Rice Crispy Treats: soy paper hand rolls filled with crispy rice balls, spicy tuna mix, cucumber, avocado, lettuce and sautéed nuts, served with a soy chili sauce ($6.75)
RA Chips & Salsa: spicy tuna tartare mixed with cucumber, avocado and fresh salsa, served with wonton chips ($8).

Sweet Onion Salmon: salmon with marinated onions and sweet onion dressing ($7)
Sesame Lemon Whitefish: whitefish with sesame dressing and lemon ($7)

RA Sushi still offers Happy Hour Monday through Saturday, 3 to 7 p.m., and a restaurant industry night called Flying Fish Lounge on Sunday from 8 p.m. to midnight.
