Gilbert scooter festival to aid homeless animals

GILBERT, AZ -- Scooter enthusiasts and animal lovers come together for a day long rally of two-wheeled, gas-saving fun at Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert.

The Scooter fest is a three-day event with one of the days dedicated to helping Maricopa County Animal Care and Control spay or neuter animals that are on leashes or in a cat carrier, plus free wellness exam. Adoptions fees are $85 for dogs and $55 for cats.

The rally will be held at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event also includes contests, music and kids activities.
