PHOENIX -- Its setting is nothing short of storybook.
Just one step onto Phoenix's historic Farm at South Mountain whisks guests away from the surrounding cityscape and transports them to a 12-acre green oasis of pecan trees with grassy lawns, three charming eateries and endless cultural experiences.
This season, the Arizona landmark reopens with refreshed menus at all three restaurants, a lineup of new fall events and wholesome produce and plants grown and harvested for the upcoming season.
Each year, many businesses at The Farm temporarily suspend operations during summer due to higher temperatures and mostly-outdoor seating configurations.
Repairs and upgrades are also performed on facilities, many of which date back to the 1920's.
"The tail end of summer always creates a buzz on The Farm as guests are eager to come back thanks to cooler temperatures," says Gregory LaPrad, head chef at Quiessence Restaurant on The Farm.
The Farm at South Mountain is located at 6106 S. 32nd Street in Phoenix.
