ABC network will rebroadcast the LOST episode that was affected by technical difficulties in the Phoenix television viewing area. The episode will air Wednesday, March 11th, in the normal “Lost” time period starting at 8:00pm. ABC is not airing a new, first-run episode of “Lost” next week.
On Wednesday evening March 4th at approximately 6:45pm to 8:22pm, ABC15HD experienced a catastrophic transmitter failure resulting in loss of digital service to most cable, satellite and translators in the Phoenix viewing area.
A cooling pump malfunctioned causing the digital transmitter to shut down. In addition, the primary back-up fiber service to Cox Cable in Phoenix was not functional resulting in a total failure to receive the digital ABC15 broadcasts.
The ABC15 analog service was functioning properly.
