Sara Goldenberg joined ABC15 in April 2013 as a Multimedia Journalist.
She came from our Scripps sister station KJRH in Tulsa, where she worked as a Multimedia Journalist and fill-in anchor.
One of the most memorable stories Sara has covered was the 2011 EF-5 tornado that tore through Joplin, Missouri. She was one of the first reporters on scene following the tornado, covering its path of destruction and interviewing residents who lost their homes, family and friends. Sara also covered the tough path to recovery and the one year anniversary that brought President Obama to town.
Sara earned her degree at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, and got her start interning at WCAU in Philadelphia, near her hometown of Doylestown.
Sara started her journalism career at KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado.
She is an active volunteer with the MS Society. In Tulsa, Sara helped run and organize a live auction for the Oklahoma chapter that raised thousands of dollars for patients struggling with Multiple Sclerosis.
When she’s not covering the news, Sara enjoys running, skiing and hiking.
She’s thrilled to explore all the Valley of the Sun has to offer and to cover stories that make a difference.
