Chris Gros joined ABC15 as a multimedia journalist in May 2016.
Chris is excited to be reporting in the Valley. He’s originally from Florida and never once lived outside the Sunshine State...until now.
Before joining ABC15, Chris worked at the CBS affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. He reported on the 2014 Florida State University Library shooting and aftermath. Chris also uncovered an issue with the city’s lack of funding for basic infrastructure, like sidewalks. He’s also covered a fair share of breaking news and storm damage across the panhandle.
His work in 2015 earned him an AP Award for “Best Mobile Journalist.”
Chris earned his bachelor's degree in Radio/Television at the University of Central Florida. While in school he helped produce, anchor and report for UCF Knightly News, an award-winning student-run news program.
When he’s not knocking on doors and chasing leads, you can find Chris spending time with his family, golfing with friends and eating plenty of good food.
