Anne McNamara joined the E.W. Scripps company in July as the national host of The NOW.

Before joining Scripps, Anne was an anchor at WAVY, the NBC affiliate in Norfolk, Va.
Her investigation into Virginia tax preparer, Mo Money Taxes, resulted in the company closing its doors. Anne’s exclusive interviews with Mo Money’s CEO were cited in search warrants, which led to a federal investigation and Congressional hearing. Her work on Mo Money Taxes won an Emmy award for continuing coverage.
Anne has also worked at WGME, the CBS affiliate in Portland, Maine.
In Maine, Anne won an Emmy award for her spot news coverage of a plane crash. Her work was recognized by the Associated Press and the Maine Association of Broadcasters.
Anne got her start in television reporting both news and sports at WSYR, the ABC affiliate in Syracuse, N.Y..
She is a graduate of Syracuse University (Go Orange!) and a proud native of Lowell, Mass.
