Arizona Restaurant Week returns to Valley for 9th season

Foodies, mark your calendars and plan your attack – Arizona Restaurant Week is back!  From May 17 through 26, an anticipated 30,000-plus Valley restaurant enthusiasts will celebrate the week in style with more than 150 restaurants to choose from in just 10 short days.

Already in its ninth season and the brainchild of the Arizona Restaurant Association, Arizona Restaurant Week boasts one of the most successful events of its kind in the nation year-over-year, helping to introduce the state’s brightest and best talent – not to mention the most delectable dishes – to throngs of foodie fans Valley-wide.

“The desire to make Arizona Restaurant Week bigger and better every year is really a labor of love for us,” said Steve Chucri, Arizona Restaurant Association President and CEO. “2014 marks the 75th anniversary for the ARA and we are thrilled to be a continued driving force for the restaurant industry in our state.”

Not surprisingly, Arizona’s best and most talented chefs line up each season to showcase their winning line up, consisting of a three-course pre-fixe menu for either $30 or $40 per person.

“We’re thrilled to be welcoming back veteran restaurants like Coup Des Tartes and J&G Steakhouse, and we’ve got some of the Valley’s most widely anticipated restaurants of 2014 slated to participate this season, as well,” said Chucri.  “We’re humbled to have the support of so many of the Valley’s best restaurateurs for Restaurant Week.  When we started ARW in fall 2008, we enlisted just 95 restaurants to participate.  Now we’re between 175-200 each season.  We are blessed to have partnerships that allow for this kind of growth to happen.”

Whether an opportunity to enjoy a delightful evening out at an affordable price, the chance for a novice food-lover to expand his or her palate, or the simple celebration of a chef’s craft, Arizona Restaurant Week truly offers something for everyone.  From Mediterranean delicacies and European delights to the best burgers and even ramen, this season will have foodies planning their calendars months in advance.
