GILBERT, AZ - The official dedication of the newly-built Mormon Temple in Gilbert is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, with a cultural celebration the night before. ABC15 is making that celebration easier for viewers to watch.

Over 12,000 youth members of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints will participate in the cultural celebration as part of the official dedication. There are an estimated 400,000 members of the Mormon Church in Arizona, making it one of the most active faith groups in our state.
The theme of the program is called "Live True," which is focused on connecting youth members to the temple.
Church President Thomas S. Monson and First Counselor Henry B. Eyring are expected to attend the event.
The cultural celebration will be performed on Saturday at 7 p.m.
ABC15 is providing two ways for the public to view the 7 p.m. cultural celebration on March 1
- The celebration will be broadcast on ABC15's Antenna TV. You can find the channel over the air on 15.2, Cox Cable 95, Century Link 815, Prism Channel 16, Orbitel Channel 764 and Mediacom Channel 10.
- The celebration will also be live streamed on www.abc15.com and within our ABC15 mobile app .
The celebration will take place at Discovery Park in Gilbert. The park is located across from the 83,000-square-foot temple.
While the event is open to the public, very few seats are expected to be available.
On Sunday, March 2, the Gilbert Mormon Temple will be officially dedicated by leaders. This dedication is only open to members of the church.
After the dedication, only recommended LDS members of the Mormon faith will be allowed inside the Temple.
