Valley kid chefs compete in healthy 'Walk On! Kids Cooking Challenge'

PHOENIX - Henry Palmer is an award-winning 11-year-old chef. He won last year's "Walk On! Kids Cooking Challenge."

His recipe? The tasty Brain Berry Parfait.


- 1 cup reduced fat, plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. Turbinado sugar or honey to mis into yogurt
- Fresh blueberries, strawberries or raspberries
- Orange-cranberry granola
- An airtight container
- Optional mom-approved ingredients: Flax seed or wheat germ


Assemble the dish in the airtight container as follows: Start with a layer of berries and top with yogurt, add one more layer of berries and one more layer of yogurt in the container and top with granola. Enjoy!

The recipe has to been an original recipe for a hot or cold side dish. It must include one fruit or vegetable and be able to be cooked within 20 minutes. The grand prize winner will receive a bike.
